Since its foundation, the Society has been committed to promoting bibliographical knowledge through the publication of original research. An enduring interest has been the many roles Oxford has taken in the lives of books but the volumes have not been confined by that geographical focus. The publications range from medieval manuscripts (including a highly regarded Special Series of Manuscript Catalogues) to reconstructions of the libraries of leading collectors via the practices of early modern printers and stationers. Many have become classics and, when still in print, are available to members at significantly reduced rates.

The Society always welcomes proposals for volumes on bibliographical topics. For advice and submission, please contact the Honorary Editors via secretary@oxbibsoc.org.uk.

The Editors are Scott Mandelbrote (Peterhouse, Cambridge) and David Rundle (Centre for Medieval and Early Modern Studies, University of Kent).
